About WPSA

WSPA Vision: 

  • Increase collaborative efforts to reduce rates of suicide-related deaths in Washoe County. 

 WSPA Mission:  

  • To create a space for organizational collaboration to reduce suicide through lethal means safety education, impactful prevention measures, and policy changes throughout Washoe County.  
  • To reduce instances of suicide among firearm owners with the use of targeted education and prevention measures. 
  • Increase suicide prevention awareness and measures with emphasis on lethal means safety education, decreasing stigma surrounding mental health and policy initiatives.
